The West Bay Club’s Danny Butts elected 
South Florida PGA Southwest Chapter secretary

Scottsdale, Ariz. (June 23, 2021) – The West Bay Club’s Head Golf Professional Danny Butts has been elected Secretary of the South Florida PGA Southwest Chapter and will sit on its Board of Directors. Danny Butts has been the Head Golf Professional at The West Bay Club, an 868-acre luxury community in Estero, Fla., since 2019.

The Southwest Chapter of the South Florida PGA is an association of golf professionals whose mission is to promote interest, participation and enjoyment in the game of golf, establish and maintain professional standards or practice; and enhance the well-being of golf professionals. There are approximately 640 members and associates are employed at 170 facilities throughout the Southwest Chapter, rating the Chapter the second largest of the three in the South Florida Section, one of 41 PGA Sections in the United States.

Butts has been a Class A PGA Professional since 2015 and has been a member of the South Florida PGA Southwest Chapter since 2009. Prior to arriving at The West Bay Club, Butts was a part of the Royal Poinciana Golf Club team for eighteen years. He is equally trusted and respected by members, guests and staff. Danny works innovative technologies such as Trackman and V1 Video in his teaching.

The member-owned private golf club and community is located adjacent to Estero Bay and bordering 500 acres of nature preserve and wetlands. Troon Privé, the private club operations division of Troon, manages the award-winning club and community association.
