What does the PGA Tour stand to gain from the upcoming behind-the-scenes Netflix docuseries? Reach, as Perfect Putt points out. Of Netflix's 214 million worldwide subscribers, a combined 74 million (an estimated 580 million viewers) are in the United States and Canada. Younger demographics is another part of the equation. Since Netflix's 2019 debut of the Formula 1 “Drive to Survive” series — which is what the PGA Tour series is being likened to — the racing tour has seen the average age of its fans drop from 36 to 32 years old. From 2006 to 2016, the average age of the PGA Tour fan increased five years to 64 years old.
