FIRST THOUGHT

As golf fans, we expect hitting greens in regulation in majors to be difficult — that's why they're majors. But what about beyond the majors? Last season, Bay Hill Club and Lodge's greens for the Arnold Palmer Invitational were the fifth most difficult to hit overall at 56.84 percent. Bay Hill trailed only Winged Foot Golf Club (52.09%, 2020 U.S. Open), Ocean Course at Kiawah Island (53.75%, PGA Championship), Riviera Country Club (54.17%, Genesis Invitational) and Torrey Pines – South (56.52%, 2021 U.S. Open).
