The most valuable golf collectible in the world is now the "Tiger Slam" irons that Tiger Woods played in winning four consecutive majors from 2000-01. The set of nine Titleist 681-T irons, plus two "Tiger" stamped Vokey wedges, sold for $5,156,162 at Golden Age Auctions to a private equity investor in Houston. There had been some questions about the irons' authenticity as the "Tiger Slam" clubs, but after affidavits, polygraph tests and photo-matching, they checked out.
