According to the National Golf Foundation's recently published "Summary of Golf Travel in the U.S.," $20 billion is the estimated size of golf travel business in the U.S., which includes playing fees, travel costs, accommodations, meals and entertainment expenses. Also, $850 is the approximate average cost per trip per golf traveler of which there are over 8 million who annually play at least one round of golf on an overnight trip.
