How dominant has Scottie Scheffler's early 2022 been? With his four wins thus far, he not surprisingly leads the FedEx Cup point standings, but the world No. 1 player owns a 1,236-point lead — the largest lead with 13 weeks left in the regular season since 2009. The next largest lead is 866 points, held by Tiger Woods in 2013.

Named: By PGA Tour Canada, native Canadian Corey Conners as honorary chair of the season-ending Fortinet Cup Championship, Sept. 12-18. The Corey and Malory Conners Family Fund, which focuses on helping underprivileged children through sports and education, will be the tournament's official charity.
Announced: By Saadiyat Beach Golf Club, Gary Hurley as its new club ambassador. Saadiyat Beach, located in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, is the Arabian Gulf’s first beachfront course. Hurley, a member of the Alps Tour, will display the Saadiyat Beach GC logo on his golf bag.
