Southern Hills Country Club is well qualified to host this week's PGA Championship as it will be the venue's eighth major — three U.S. Opens and five PGAs — and third this century (2001 U.S. Open, 2007 and 2022 PGA). Equally impressive is the number of players in the field for both the 2007 and 2022 PGA Championships (17) and also the 2001 U.S. Open (7) — Rich Beem, Stewart Cink, Sergio Garcia, Padraig Harrington, Shaun Micheel, Lee Westwood and Tiger Woods.

Announced: By the PGA of America, that Shoal Creek Club and Bent Brook Golf Course, both located outside Birmingham, Alabama, will host the 2023 PGA WORKS Collegiate Championship, May 8-10. The PWCC features Historically Black Colleges and Universities and other Minority Serving Institutions from around the country.
