There is something to be said for a good night's sleep. Just ask Justin Thomas, whose Whoop wearable performance device analytics tell the story of a well-rested champion. The company reports that Thomas achieved green recovery scores of 89%, 88% and 89%, respectively, for the nights preceding the final three rounds, including a sleep score of 100% the night before Sunday's epic final-round comeback.

Announced: By the USGA, that National Golf Links of America, in Southampton, N.Y., has been named the host site of the 46th Curtis Cup Match, to be held June 7-9, 2030. This will be the third USGA championship conducted at National Golf Links, which has previously hosted the 1922 and 2013 Walker Cup Matches.

Announced: By the R&A and Asia-Pacific Golf Confederation, that this year's Women’s Amateur Asia-Pacific championship will be played on Siam Country Club's Waterside Course in Thailand, Nov. 3-6. The winner will receive invitations to play in three majors — the AIG Women’s Open, Amundi Evian Championship and Chevron Championship. They will also be invited to the Augusta National Women’s Amateur and the Hana Financial Group Championship. 

Announced: By LaunchPad Golf, that the grand opening of its Calgary, Alberta, location is scheduled for June 30. The multi-level venue at Heritage Pointe features Toptracer Range technology, proprietary heating for year-round entertainment, custom ball dispensers in the 40 hitting suites, and two bars and dining areas able to accommodate up to 600 people.
