FIRST THOUGHT

While Billy Horschel won the Memorial Tournament by four strokes, his eagle on the par-5 15th hole on Sunday came at the most opportune time. Horschel, 35, was making his ninth start in the tournament, but had never made an eagle until the 15th — a span of 573 holes. Not surprising, his putt of 52-feet 10 inches was his longest in his nine starts. Horschel's previous best finish was a T-9 in 2019.
