During the John Deere Classic's final round yesterday, Michael Kim, known for pestering sense of humor on social media, made a personal plea on X.com (Twitter).
“Calm down Davis [Thompson], no need to break the tournament scoring record or anything,” Kim wrote.
Well, Thompson did just that for this first PGA Tour victory — besting Kim’s tournament record of 27-under (257) by a stroke. He and C.T. Pan also earned invites to next week's Open Championship.
