Social media platform TikTok has announced a content partnership with the PGA Tour, DP World Tour and R&A. TikTok claims #Golf has generated more than 27 billion views to date, and this deal will bring content that includes player highlights, instructional tips and behind-the-scenes access to the various tours. Also, LIV Golf member Ian Poulter has launched his own personal content channel on Recast, a Scotland-based streaming platform for live and on-demand sports content. Poulter has already started sharing content of his practice sessions and highlights from the first two LIV Golf events.

Announced: By the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St. Andrews, that Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and Paul Lawrie have been named honorary members of the club. Woods won the British Open three times (2000, 2005 and 2006), while McIlroy and Lawrie won in 2014 and 1999, respectively.

Announced: By the PGA Tour, that Billy Andrade, who has enjoyed a 35-year career on the PGA Tour and PGA Tour Champions, has been named the 2022 recipient of the Payne Stewart Award presented by Southern Company.
The Payne Stewart Award is presented annually to a professional golfer who best exemplifies Stewart’s steadfast values of character, charity and sportsmanship. Andrade will be honored on Aug. 23 in conjunction with the Tour Championship.
