Royal Troon is hosting the British Open for the 10th since 1923. Of the nine previous winners, six — Henrik Stenson (2016), Todd Hamilton (2004), Justin Leonard (1997), Mark Calcavecchia (1989), Tom Weiskopf (1973) and Arthur Havers (1923) — made Troon their first and only British Open victory.
