FIRST THOUGHT

There is no question that 2021 was a boon year for golf participation.
To maintain that positive pace, though, would be difficult, and recent numbers from Golf Datatech (rounds played down 5.7% vs. 2021 through July) and Pellucid (Golf Playable Hours YTD down 9% vs. 2021) confirm that. The National Golf Foundation takes a broader view and reports that U.S. rounds played are up 10% vs. its 10-Year Rounds Played Index, which is calculated on a 12-month rolling scale.
