Imagine how exciting this week's BMW Championship would be if, for this week at Castle Pines Golf Club in the high altitudes of Colorado, the format returned to Modified Stableford. That's how The International was contested from 1986-2006 before the PGA Tour moved on. And the unique format seldom disappointed in producing compelling finishes. Since then, though, the entire course, which totals 400 feet of elevation change, has been renovated and at 8,130 yards will be the longest course in PGA Tour history.
