The National Federation of State High School Associations' high school sports participation survey for 2021/22 reports that participants were down 4% from its 2018/19 survey — the last done prior to the pandemic. In the three years since, both boys and girls golf reported upticks in players. Boys participation grew by nearly 4% to 148,585, while girls, improved by about 1% to 80,829.

Announced: By the International Network of Golf, that the deadline for its 29th ING Media Awards program is Oct. 11. All ING members are eligible to submit entries and only digital entries will be accepted.
Agreed: By SHI International and the LPGA, to a multiyear agreement that makes IT solutions provider SHI an official technology partner of the Tour. Through this partnership, the LPGA will leverage SHI’s expertise with transformational technology procurement and infrastructure to help meet the technology needs of the association. Meanwhile, SHI and its customers will benefit from corporate branding and on-site hospitality opportunities at select Tour events.
