Reviews of TGL's season-opening match on Tuesday night have been mostly positive. And eyeballs are traditionally a good indicator. Nielsen reports that the match averaged 919,000 viewers on ESPN in its 9-11 p.m. ET time slot. Sports Media Watch noted that the telecast drew more viewers than any LIV Golf broadcast on The CW in either 2023 or 2024, and the PGA Tour's Sentry on Golf Channel and NBC last week. On Jan. 14, league co-founder Tiger Woods' Jupiter Links Golf Club team makes its debut at 7 p.m. ET.
