FIRST THOUGHT

A few things to know about Brooks Koepka's return to the PGA Tour this week at the Farmers Insurance Open.
▪️ He is making his first start in a non-major on the PGA Tour since the 2022 WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play (T5).
▪️ He is eligible for the Players Championship, full-field and additional events utilizing the remaining portion of his multi-season winner’s exemption (through 2028 via his 2023 PGA Championship victory).
▪️ He must play his way into signature events via the Aon Next 10, Aon Swing 5, top 30 in the Official World Golf Ranking or by winning a tournament (ineligible to receive sponsor exemptions).
▪️ Eligible to earn FedEx Cup points and qualify for the FedEx Cup Playoffs, but will be added to the field and will not impact another player’s eligibility.
▪️ He's ineligible to earn FedEx Cup bonus money in 2026, but is eligible to receive prize money at the Tour Championship ($40 million purse) should he qualify.
▪️ The nine-time winner will make his 187th PGA Tour start and fifth at the Farmers Insurance Open where he has made the cut once (T41 / 2015).
opening-round 66 on the North Course in 2015 marks his lone sub-70 score in 10 rounds at this event
▪️ His last non-major stroke-play PGA Tour start was the 2022 Valspar Championship (T12), and his last non-major PGA Tour victory was the 2021 WM Phoenix Open.
