Charles Howell III made 609 starts in 20-plus years on the PGA Tour. He won three times and earned slightly more than $42 million. On Sunday, Howell III, 43, won LIV Golf Mayakoba in just his sixth start on the second-year tour, and won $4 million. Combined with the $2.99 million he won a year ago, Howell III has now earned just under $7 million — or roughly 16.7% percent of his PGA Tour earnings — in just over a year's time.
