FIRST THOUGHT

According to Golf Datatech's national rounds played report for January, the total was down 12.1% compared with 2021. The best of the underperforming regions was the Pacific at -2.7%, while New England at -81% was the worst. Inclement weather the main reason for the dip.

In last week’s wild ride on Wall Street, golf’s blue-chip stocks weathered the storm. The Dow Jones was down .73% for the week, while Callaway Golf and Acushnet ended Friday’s recovery up 3.18% and 2.65%, respectively.
