In the wake of the carnage left by the PGA Tour’s last two stops — the Honda Classic and the Arnold Palmer Invitational — the world’s best players are left with hardly a day off to calm their frazzled minds. Now, they must face TPC Sawgrass, site of this week’s Players Championship, which has its own set of mental and physical challenges. Fortunately for the players — and not necessarily for the rest of us — showers and thunderstorms are in the forecast until Sunday. So, the Stadium Course might not have as much fire as PGA National or Bay Hill. However, Saturday’s outlook is for temperatures falling to 55 during the day with winds of 20-30 mph. No rest for the weary.
