Professional athletes donning wearables to track biometric data is becoming more prevalent with each passing season. At the last Ryder Cup, television viewers were able to see how much a player's heart rate went up before and during the first tee shot. SportsTechie reports that MLB's new collective bargaining agreement blocks the league from selling a player’s biometric data tracked during training sessions, according to Mark Saxon of US Bets. Part of the reasoning is sports betting companies are looking for any morsel of data to help create their odds and prop bets. At what point is there too much data?
