The 2022 schedule for the LIV Golf Invitational Series, the Saudi Arabia-backed league created by LIV Golf Investments, whose CEO is Greg Norman, was announced on Wednesday morning.
The league's schedule will feature eight 54-hole, no-cut events with a purse of $25 million per event — $20 million for the individual portion and $5 million for the team portion.
At present, three league events will be held during weeks there is a PGA Tour tournament, including the league's season-opener June 10-12 in London. That event will be held opposite the RBC Canadian Open, which is the week before the U.S. Open. Also, the LIV Golf Invitational Series' fifth event, Sept. 16-18 at Rich Harvest Farms outside of Chicago, will be held days before the Presidents Cup at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina.
The PGA Tour has not released its 2022-23 wrap-around schedule.
The LIV schedule also overlaps numerous DP World Tour tournaments, including the Irish Open, the Italian Open and the Spanish Open.
