With a bullet would aptly describe Scottie Scheffler's ascent to No. 1 in the Official World Golf Ranking. Scheffler, 25, began 2022 at No. 11, then dropped to No. 15 after his first start at The American Express. In his next six starts, though, he rose to No. 14, No. 9, No. 6, spent two weeks at No. 5 and is now No. 1. In the OWGR's 36-year history, Scheffler is the 25th No. 1.
