Thursday's opening-round RBC Heritage leaderboard had a Masters-lite vibe — players good enough to win a green jacket, but maybe not yet. Leading the pack was Ludvig Aberg, who posted an 8-under 63. Harris English and Viktor Hovland posted 7-under 64s, while the list at 6-under 65 included Gary Woodland, Rickie Fowler and Matt Fitzpatrick. World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler was at 3-under 68, snapping a streak of six consecutive opening round scores of 70 or higher. His last sub-70 opening round on the PGA Tour was a 63 at the 2026 American Express, which he won.
