Chevron Championship Talking Points:
▪️ This is the 55th official playing of the tournament, and the first time it will be hosted by Memorial Park Golf Course. It also hosts the PGA Tour's Texas Children’s Houston Open ans underwent a major renovation in 2020 by architect Tom Doak with Brooks Koepka.
▪️ In 2025, Mao Saigo defeated Hyo Joo Kim, Ruoning Yin, Ariya Jutanugarn and Lindy Duncan in a five-person playoff, the largest playoff in major championship history on the LPGA Tour.
▪️ Saigo became the 46th player to earn her first LPGA Tour victory at a major championship and first since Allisen Corpuz at the 2023 U.S. Women’s Open.
▪️ Three players have the opportunity to earn a career Grand Slam with a win at the Chevron Championship — Minjee Lee (2021 The Amundi Evian Championship, 2022 U.S. Women’s Open, 2025 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship), In Gee Chun (2015 U.S. Women’s Open, 2016 The Amundi Evian Championship, 2022 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship) and Anna Nordqvist (2009 KPMG Women’s PGA Championship, 2017 The Amundi Evian, 2021 AIG Women’s Open).
