SCOTTISH OPEN TAKEAWAYS

➡️ Tom Kim shot a final-round 64 to win the Scottish Open by two strokes over Min Woo Lee. The 24-year-old finished at 17-under 263 to secure his fourth career PGA Tour title. Kim, the only player to go bogey-free on Sunday, became the first player from South Korea to win the historic tournament. ... With his victory at 24 years and 21 days old, Kim secured his place among golf's elite young talents. Kim joined Hideki Matsuyama with four PGA Tour wins, trailing only Rory McIlroy and Sergio Garcia for the most victories by a non-American player before turning 25. He also tied Si Woo Kim for the second-most tour wins by a South Korean.
➡️ Three golfers punched their tickets to Royal Birkdale for this week's 154th Open Championship through The Open Qualifying Series. As the final event of the qualifying series, the tournament awarded the three available nonexempt spots to Johnny Keefer, who tied for third, Michael Thorbjornsen, who tied for seventh, and Victor Perez, who finished tied for ninth.
➡️ Rory McIlroy continued his exceptional track record at The Renaissance Club, finishing tied for seventh at 12-under par. The 30-time PGA Tour winner and 2023 tournament champion has now finished seventh or better in all four of his career appearances at the Scottish Open, following up a prior victory, a fourth-place finish and a runner-up showing.

AMUNDI EVIAN CHAMPIONSHIP

➡️ Haeran Ryu captured her second major title of the season by defeating Brooke Henderson on the first hole of a sudden-death playoff at the Amundi Evian Championship. Ryu, who won the KPMG Women's PGA Championship just 13 days earlier, tied the LPGA Tour record for the shortest span between major victories. She finished regulation tied at 19-under-par 265.
➡️ The tournament featured unprecedented scoring milestones over the weekend. Ryu carded an 11-under-par 60 during Saturday's third round, establishing the lowest 18-hole score in major championship history. Ryu also tied the event's 54-hole scoring record of 194 before grinding out a final-round 71 to secure the playoff.
➡️ Brooke Henderson narrowly missed out on a major victory despite a historic performance at Evian Resort Golf Club. Henderson vaulted into a tie for the lead by carding a 7-under 64 on Sunday, punctuated by an eagle on the 72nd hole. She recorded three eagles in the final round, including a hole-in-one, bringing her weekly total to an LPGA-record six eagles.
