Scottie Scheffler is getting closer to the dominant form he showed last year, but he hasn't been able to close the deal as consistently. There are plenty of theories out there as to why he is just slightly off, but the answer is incredibly simple: he isn't making putts inside of 10 feet. His short putting has kept him out of the winner's circle multiple times this season. Fix the short putting, and he wins. It probably won't happen this week, though — someone in the field will putt lights out and take the title.
