3M OPEN NOTEBOOK

➡️ Former Auburn star Jackson Koivun earned his first PGA Tour victory at the 3M Open, shooting a final-round 66 to finish at 25-under 259. At 21 years old, Koivun became the youngest American player to win a tour event by multiple strokes since Ralph Guldahl in 1932. The victory came in just his third start as a professional. En route to winning, Koivun set the 72-hole tournament scoring record, topping Lee Hodges’ previous mark of 260. Koivun went bogey-free in three of his four rounds and led the field in Strokes Gained: Approach the Green.
➡️ World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler mounted a fierce final-round charge, firing a bogey-free 63 to finish solo second at 22-under par. Despite starting the day six shots off the lead, Scheffler secured his fifth runner-up finish and 11th top-five finish of the season.
➡️ Michael Kim secured a tie for 10th place at 17-under par after posting a second-round 59. Kim followed his sub-60 round with weekend scores of 69 and 70 to earn his second top-10 finish of the PGA Tour season. His previous best result this year was a tie for second at the Valero Texas Open.
➡️ TPC Twin Cities saw unprecedented scoring during the week, headlined by Koivun's winning 25-under 259. In addition to Kim's 59, there was a final-round 62 by Jake Knapp, and impressive bogey-free runs, including Brian Harman playing his final 54 holes without making a single bogey.
