Lottie Woad is having a July not soon to be forgotten. On July 6, Woad, an amateur at the time, won the Ladies European Tour's Women’s Irish Open by a decisive six shots. A week later, on July 13, she finished third at the LPGA's Evian Championship, which secured her LPGA Tour card. And two days later, Woad, 21, of England and who played collegiately at Florida State, turned professional. That in itself is pretty heady, but then on Sunday, Woad won her debut LPGA start at the Women’s Scottish Open. In doing so, she became the third player to win in her first start on the LPGA Tour as an LPGA Tour member, joining Jin Young Ko (2018) and Beverly Hanson (1951). She also became the ninth player to win in her first professional start in an official LPGA Tour event.
