A few things to know about the BMW Championship, which is the second round of the PGA Tour FedEx Cup Playoffs:
> The BMW Championship is the oldest non-major on the PGA Tour schedule, dating back to 1899.
> The tournaments returns to Caves Valley Golf Club for the second time and first since 2021.
> Twenty-two players in this week’s field competed in the 2021 BMW Championship, including winner Patrick Cantlay, Rory McIlroy (4th) and Scottie Scheffler (T22)
> Four players have won the BMW Championship en route to claiming the FedEx Cup (Tiger Woods, 2007, 2009; Billy Horschel, 2014; Patrick Cantlay, 2021; Viktor Hovland, 2023)
> Nine players will make their debut at the BMW Championship this week: Jacob Bridgeman, Brian Campbell, Ryan Fox, Ryan Gerard, Chris Gotterup, Ben Griffin, Harry Hall, Andrew Novak, Sam Stevens
