While breaking par is the goal of many golfers, there is no shame in just wanting to break 100. According to National Golf Foundation participation research, 77% of golfers in the United States (roughly 20 million) keep score on a regular basis. For males who keep track of strokes, their average score is 93. For women, the average is 99. The highest percentage of males (32%) score betweeh 90-99, while nearly half of women (48%) shoot in triple digits.

PGA Tour: Expands its relationship with the Coca-Cola Co. as the Tour's official soft drink by adding the categories official sports drink, isotonic drink and water of the PGA Tour and PGA Tour Champions. With these new categories, through 2027, the Coca-Cola Company will begin to activate other established brands, including Powerade, Bodyarmor and Smartwater across the PGA Tour.
Solheim Cup: Nine automatic qualifiers were named for 2024 U.S. Solheim Cup Team following the AIG Women's Open on Sunday. Nelly Korda, Lilia Vu, Lauren Coughlin, Ally Ewing, Allisen Corpuz, Megan Khang, Andrea Lee qualified via the U.S. Solheim Cup points standings, while Rose Zhang and Alison Lee qualified via the Rolex Women’s World Golf Rankings. U.S. Captain Stacy Lewis also receives three captain’s picks to round out the 12-player American squad. Those players will be announced today, Aug. 27.
LPGA: Nelly Korda wins the Rolex Annika Major Award (RAMA) with a T2 finish at the AIG Women's Open at the Old Course at St Andrews. RAMA recognizes the player who accumulates the most points for top-10 finishes in the year's five major championships. To earn the award, a player must have also won at least one of the five majors. Korda won the 2024 Chevron Championship (60 points) to claim her second career major championship victory and totaled a combined 84 points for the five majors. Ayaka Furue finished second with 70 points.
Presidents Cup: The top six players for the International Team and U.S. Team set to compete in the 2024 Presidents Cup were determined with the conclusion of the BMW Championship. International Team Captain Mike Weir and U.S. Team Captain Jim Furyk will announce captains’ picks on Sept. 3 to round out their respective 12-man teams. The Presidents Cup returns to The Royal Montreal Golf Club in Montreal, Canada, Sept. 24-29. The six International Team players are Hideki Matsuyama, Sungjae Im, Adam Scott, Tom Kim, Jason Day and Byeong Hun An; the six United States players are Scottie Scheffler, Xander Schauffele, Collin Morikawa, Wyndham Clark, Patrick Cantlay and Sahith Theegala.
