According to the National Golf Foundation, there are approximately 3,200 golf facilities in the U.S. with a real estate component — either as as part of a residential community or a resort real estate complex. That represents nearly 23% of overall U.S. golf supply. In 1993, there were roughly 1,700 such golf facilities. Since 2010, the number of real estate-related golf facilities is down 4%.

Myrtle Beach National: Reports that the front nine reimagination of its King’s North course is set to be complete for an early October reopening in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Architect Brandon Johnson has been overseeing the two-year two-part project that will include overhauling the back nine in summer 2025. PGA Tour: Announces the launch of a PGA Tour World Feed in 2025, starting with the Players Championship. The feed will originate from the Tour’s 165,000 square-foot multimedia PGA Tour Studios, which is opening in January and will allow the Tour and its international media partners to provide fans with more customized coverage and storytelling of the Tour’s international players, complemented by a customized graphics package and a dedicated international commentary team.
Dye Designs Group: Completes the redesign of four new holes on the Copper Creek Golf Course at Copper Mountain Resort in Copper Mountain, Colorado. Holes 12 through 15 were completely reimagined by Cynthia Dye McGarey, DDG’s principal architect, and her son, Matt McGarey, the firm’s senior design associate. The project brief also included repositioning tee boxes on the 16th hole and creation of a new back tee on No. 18. Copper Creek, originally designed by Pete and Perry Dye, opened for play in 1986.
