BAYCURRENT CLASSIC NOTEBOOK
➡️ Michael Brennan captured his third PGA Tour title at the Baycurrent Classic in Japan, firing a final-round 68 to win by one stroke at 16-under 268. At 24, the former Wake Forest star became the youngest winner in tournament history and the tour’s seventh multi-time winner this season. Brennan relied on stellar accuracy, leading the field by hitting 55 of 60 fairways — including a perfect 15-for-15 on Sunday.
➡️ Ren Yonezawa delivered the top local performance, placing tied for ninth at 12-under to secure a spot in the Bermuda Championship. Japan's Hideki Matsuyama tied for 21st at 9-under, while 28-time international winner Adam Scott placed T13 at 11-under alongside Jordan Spieth.
➡️ The Baycurrent Classic reshuffled the FedEx Cup Fall standings as players compete for 2027 PGA Tour exemptions. Ricky Castillo (T29) and Michael Kim (T17) both made crucial moves into the top 60, climbing to No. 59 and No. 60 respectively. Consequently, Ben James and Sudarshan Yellamaraju fell out of the top 60 after sitting out the event. Winner Brennan wrapped his season at No. 46 overall.
