The LPGA has itself a good ol' fashioned fight to the end brewing for its Rolex Player of the Year honor. With four events remaining, while 18 players are still mathematically in contention, the top four in the points standings — Minjee Lee (149 points), Brooke Henderson (130), Atthaya Thitikul (124) and Lydia Ko (120) — are separated by 29 points. A win is worth 30 points. Of the four, only Brooke Henderson is not in this week's BMW Ladies Championship in Korea.

Appointed: By Trump Turnberry, Darren McLaughlan as golf courses manager. McLaughlan will oversee the iconic Ailsa course, as well as Turnberry’s two other links layouts, at the Ayrshire, Scotland, resort.
Announced: By the United States Golf Association, that Canterbury Golf Club, in Cleveland, Ohio, will host the 2027 U.S. Girls’ Junior, 2033 U.S. Senior Amateur and 2039 U.S. Women’s Amateur Championships. The club has previously hosted five USGA championships, including two U.S. Opens.
