FIRST THOUGHT

This week's PGA Tour stop, the Butterfield Bermuda Championship in Southampton, Bermuda, may not have the glitziest field — only one player currently ranked in the OWGR (Seamus Power at No. 48) — but a win here means as much as a win most anywhere else on Tour. This marks the third time the tournament is a standalone event, which means the winner gets a full serving of FedEx Cup points (500).
