FIRST THOUGHT

Ricky Wysocki is a two-time world champion of golf, though you might be scratching your head if name does not ring a bell. It’s because he’s a disc golfer,  actually one of more than 120,000 members in the Professional Disc Golf Association. Yes, the sport can be dismissed as not being of the traditional golf variety, but it’s growing. According to the PDGA, there are more than 8,000 courses worldwide and the sport raised some eyebrows on Tuesday when it was announced that Wysocki signed a four-year $4 million endorsement agreement with Dynamic Discs, including a $250,000 signing bonus entirely in Bitcoin.
