Harris English's winning the Farmers Insurance Open last week snapped a streak of wins by international players to start the season. This season marks the second in the last 55 years where the first three events were won by an international player — Hideki Matsuyama, Japan; Nick Taylor, Canada; Sepp Straka, Austria. In 2003, Ernie Els (South Africa) won the first two events in Hawaii and Vijay Singh (Fiji) won the third in Phoenix.
