In 2024, Nelly Korda was simply spectacular, winning seven times, including the Chevron Championship. In 2025, Korda won nothing. Sunday, well, kinda on Saturday, Korda won the LPGA Tour's season-opening Tournament of Champions. The tournament was reduced to 54 holes on Sunday due to weather, but Korda had already completed her third round — an 8-under 64 — on Saturday that ultimately gave her a three-stroke win. With the victory, Korda also chalked up the following:
▪️ Her 16th LPGA Tour win, ending a drought of one year, two months and 15 days.
▪️ Becomes the 28th different American with 16 or more wins on the LPGA Tour
▪️ It's the second event that both Nelly and Jessica Korda have won (Jessica won the Tournament of Champions in 2021; Jessica won the 2012 Women’s Australian Open and Nelly won the event in 2019).
