If Belgium was looking for a reason to celebrate, then Belgians can look to Thomas Detry. On Sunday, the 32-year-old earned his first PGA Tour win, the WM Phoenix Open, in his 68th career start. He did so in convincing fashion, making birdie on the final four holes to win by seven stroke and become the sixth player to win the WM Phoenix Open by seven or more shots. He joins Johnny Miller (14 strokes, 1975), Arnold Palmer (12, 1962), Steve Jones (11, 1997), Mark Calcavecchia (8, 2001; 7, 1989) and J.B. Holmes (7, 2006).
