If a player is going to have a PGA Tour career round, there are few places better than Pebble Beach Golf Links. Thursday, Ryo Hisatsune, 23, of Japan, had a masterful bogey-free, 10-under-par 62 to grab the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am's first-round lead. In addition to chasing his first PGA Tour win, Hisatsune seeks a bit of history, looking to become the sixth different player from Japan to win on the PGA Tour (Hideki Matsuyama, Shigeki Maruyama, Isao Aoki, Ryuji Imada and Satoshi Kodaira). The 2023 DP World Tour Rookie of the Year, Hisatsune is in his third PGA Tour season and earlier this season earned his tour career-best second-place finish at the Farmers Insurance Open.
