Three talking points for the Cognizant Classic in The Palm Beaches:
▪️ Reigning champion Joe Highsmith returns to PGA National Resort where he earned his maiden PGA Tour title with a two-stroke victory over Jacob Bridgeman and J.J. Spaun. In the 12 months since, Spaun won the U.S. Open and made the U.S. Ryder Cup, while Bridgeman won last week's Genesis Invitational for his first Tour title.
▪️ 18-year-old Blades Brown will be making his second start of the season as a sponsor exemption. He finished T18 at the American Express.
▪️ The field includes eight of the top 50 players in the Official World Golf Ranking. The highest is Ryan Gerard (26th). Also, the field includes six players who won on the DP World Tour last season — Dan Brown, Haotong Li, John Parry, Kristoffer Reitan, Adrien Saddier and Aaron Rai.
