J.R. Smith continues to live the good life. Last year, Smith, who was drafted out of high school in 2004 and went on to become a two-time NBA champion, enrolled at North Carolina A&T and became a golf team walk-on. Earlier this week, Smith, who earned more than $90 million during a 16-year career, signed an NIL deal with Lululemon, becoming the athletic apparel brand's first golf athlete. According to ESPN, Smith is not allowed to promote Lululemon at NCAA-sanctioned events, but he can appear in brand advertisements and promote the company via social media.

Announced: By International Team Captain Trevor Immelman, that his four captain’s assistants for the 2022 Presidents Cup are Canada’s Mike Weir, Korea’s K.J. Choi, Australia’s Geoff Ogilvy and Colombia’s Camilo Villegas. The foursome will join Immelman at Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, North Carolina, Sept. 20-25. Weir, Choi and Ogilvy will be serving as assistants for the third time, while Villegas will be a first-time captain's assistant.
Announced: By PGA Tour Canada, its 2022 schedule for the Fortinet Cup, which will be sponsored by Fortinet and will award points based on player performance, with a $100,000 bonus pool for the top competitors. This will be the first season since 2019 that features full fields and a path for players to reach the Korn Ferry Tour.
