With the PGA Championship, the year's second major, just a few weeks away, one of the most-asked questions of Scottie Scheffler is sure to be "What's the state of your game?" Certainly the World No. 1 is not on the same blistering pace as 2024, but it's also difficult to suggest he is slumping. In seven starts this season, Scheffler has notched five top-10 finishes (T9 / AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am; T3 / The Genesis Invitational; T2 / Texas Children’s Houston Open; 4th /Masters; T8 / RBC Heritage. This week, the Dallas, Texas, resident will make his sixth career start at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson and first since 2023. He made his PGA Tour debut at the tournament in 2014 as a 17-year-old amateur and finished T22.
