Rare these days is the Scottie Scheffler round in which he his above par, but that is what unfolded Sunday in the final round of the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club. Scheffler posted a 1-over-par 71 to tie for second and finish five shots back of champion Davis Riley. For Scheffler, the over-par round was his first since the 2023 Arnold Palmer Invitational. The runner-up finish was Scheffler's ninth on the PGA Tour this season and 11th top-10 of the season — most of any player in 2024.
