Keegan Bradley is putting himself in a precarious position as U.S. Ryder Cup captain. The issue? Himself. Sunday, Bradley, 39, won the Travelers Championship for the second time in three years, and won from three-or-more strokes behind entering the final round for the fourth time in his career on the PGA Tour. Bradley entered the week 17th in the U.S. Ryder Cup points standings, but is expected to move inside the top 10. Also, he is expected to move from No. 21 to No. 7 in the Official World Golf Rankings. Bradley has said he would only consider himself as a possible player-captain if he qualified automatically on Ryder Cup points. If he continues to play this well, then he may just have that decision to make. In a mid-May The First Call poll, 56.6% of respondents said Bradley should not consider himself. Maybe it's time to reconsider.
