Not that Scottie Scheffler really went anywhere, but a tie for 41st at the U.S. Open raised some odd questions about the state of his game. Fear not, though, after Sunday's playoff victory at the Travelers Championship. Not even through June and already Scheffler becomes the fourth player — and ninth instance — with six or more Tour wins in a season since 1983 and first since Tiger Woods in 2009. He is also the first to record six wins before July since Arnold Palmer in 1962. He is now tied for 84th on the all-time PGA Tour wins list with 12.
QUESTION OF THE WEEK
How will Rory McIlroy's career trend after placing second at the U.S. Open, which was his 18th top-five major finish and fourth runner-up finish?
