In putting Scottie Scheffler's Open Championship victory into perspective, here are a few nuggets culled from social media that add some context:
> Of the 15 players who played all 16 rounds in 2025's majors, Jamie Kennedy writes, Scheffler finished at 32-under par. Rory McIlroy was second at 11 under, followed by Xander Schauffele at 10 under and Jon Rahm at 6 under.
> Claire Rogers notes that the number of days between Scheffler's first and fourth major wins was 1,197 days — the same number of days between Tiger Woods' first and fourth major titles.
> From 2022 through Sunday, according to Kyle Porter, Scheffler has played 81 events, won 20, including four majors and two Players Championships. From 2002-2005, Woods played 79 events, won 19, including four majors.
> Scheffler was winless in his first 70 PGA Tour starts. In his last 76, he has 17 wins — a winning percentage of 22.3% or a win every 4.4 starts.
