FIRST THOUGHT

Chris Gotterup could be forgiven if he was suffering a bit of celebratory jet lag at this week's 3M Open. The 26-year-old is coming off quite a fortnight in the United Kingdom. Two weeks ago, he won the Scottish Open, his second PGA Tour victory; last week he finished third at the Open Championship. Thursday, though, he kept his heater going, opening with a bogey-free 8-under 63, his fourth bogey-free round on Tour this season, and his sitting at T4.
