Entering the FedEx St. Jude Championship, 29 of the top 50 players in the 2024 FedEx Cup standings are in the top 50 through the Wyndham Championship. At No. 6, Ben Griffin is the highest in the FedEx Cup standings among players who were outside the top 50 in 2024. For reference, 31 of the top 50 players in the 2023 FedExCup standings finished the 2024 season in the top 50 of the FedEx Cup standings.
The field includes:
> Six FedEx Cup champions: Scottie Scheffler (2024), Viktor Hovland (2023), Patrick Cantlay (2021), Justin Rose (2018), Justin Thomas (2017) and Jordan Spieth (2015).
> Five past champions of the FedEx St. Jude Championship: Hideki Matsuyama (2024), Lucas Glover (2023), Tony Finau (2021), Jason Day (2015) and Adam Scott (2013).
> Three winners of previous events held at TPC Southwind: Justin Thomas (2020 WGC-FedEx St. Jude Invitational), Daniel Berger (2016, 2017 FedEx St. Jude Classic), Harris English (2013 FedEx St. Jude Classic).
