FIRST THOUGHT

A TALE OF TWO CUPS

Since the Presidents Cup debuted in 1994, the United States owned the matches to the point of it not being competitive. The International Team won the third matches in 1998, but since then the Americans have won 11 and halved another (2003). The United States is 13-1-1 overall. The closest margin of victory in that span was two points (16-14) in 2019. Since 1994, there have been 15 Ryder Cups contested. The Americans have not fared as well, going 4-11.
